Wordpress optimization on centos 6?

Gentlemen, there is such a problem, the site on Wordpress is terribly slow. vm is quite powerful, 16gb memory + 4 cpu cores. OS centos 6. What needs to be optimized? Where to twist Apache?

You would somehow describe in detail what is installed on your server, otherwise it is not entirely clear where the dog is buried. If wordpress is spinning on a bare Apache, then there is a problem.
