With what tool to create preloader animation for the application and website?

Dear interface designers!
We need a sprite png , css does not need to be offered. Actually the problem: there are very cool tools for prototyping applications: Pixate, Principle, Craft will appear soon. They are all designed to create full-fledged recordings of interface screen animations. Principle is very cool, very simple and you can quickly make any animation of any element, not necessarily the entire screen. But for some reason it doesn't save anything. Every now and then it crashes. And if it saves, then only a full artboard and with a background, although 0% transparency is indicated for the background. You can't save to a sprite.
How does Facebook and other giants make animation elements (preloaders, animated icons, etc.)?
Advise a simple tool, preferably not frame-by-frame. You don't need fsh and ai either, these are not fast tools.
