Windows Sever 2008 r2 with 8 GB of RAM, if you add another 8 GB, will the system start?
Good day everyone!
In general, there is a Windows Server r2 with 8 GB of RAM, but this is not enough for normal operation. If you take another 8 GB of RAM, will the server start without failure? The server has an Asustek P8z77-V LX motherboard installed. At the moment there are 2 4 GB RAMs, here are their characteristics 802.2 MHz, 11,11,11,28. Tell me if you take 8 GB of RAM with a clock frequency of 1600 MHz, there will be no conflict between the old and new RAM?

DDR III at 800 MHz is an interesting RAM) Can you take a picture of the tag from the memory bar and post it? Or read data from the SPD module through some AIDA or HWInfo? As far as I know, there is no DDR3 memory with such a frequency, but suddenly I don’t know something ... And so, if you put different memory, really nothing bad will happen. It's just that the system will be guided by the slowest one.
