Windows Server License, what and how?

Hello. Tell me please. The bottom line is this - you need to configure the server, it will be configured with a web server and MS SQL database. As I understand it, you need to buy a package of "core" licenses. And here's how things are with user licenses - I could not find specific information anywhere. User CAL license is needed to connect to the server - this, as I understand it, via RDP. Those. administration requires at least one such. But database and web connections are also taken into account, and each of them requires its own license, or does it work somehow differently?

If I'm not mistaken:
MS SQl does not require user CALs if kernels are licensed (but you can buy a version not for kernels, but for MS SQL server + CALs). There are separate CALs for RDP, but if you have a Windows Server, two simultaneous remote connections are allowed for the purpose of server administration, without purchasing additional CALs and without the Remote Desktop Services role.

I don't know if it suits you or not. Learned literally a week ago on licensing 1C which spins on the sequel server.
Small-soft Servers have licensing for cores - the minimum package is 8 packs of 2 licenses, i.e. 16 cores, even if you have fewer.
For RDP, these are separate licenses per device or per user. If you don't work under RDP, they are not needed.
For Sequel Servers, they are licensed (in the case of 1C) for the number of active users who work in the database. Here you have 20 people sitting in your database and there should be 20 licenses, and it doesn’t matter that you connect the server itself through 1 admin connection, but the piece of paper should be for 20 licenses.
