Windows on external hdd?

The PC does not have a hard drive. Is it possible to install and use Windows OS from external hdd usb 3? And what are the nuances?

I have never tried it, but I have no doubt that it is possible.
If it's Win7, you need to integrate USB3 drivers into the distribution, otherwise it won't work. Will not see USB3-HDD
