Windows ME does not see the VMware 12.5.1 shared network folder, how to connect it correctly?

Good time!
In general, the whole point is that it is impossible to connect to a shared folder that links the host and guest system. Host Linux Xubuntu 16.04. Guest OS Windows Millennium Edition with updates up to 2014 inclusive (with official and not quite). Virtualization takes place on VMware Workstation v12.5.1, the latest version at the moment. VMware Tools installed as expected. Before that, I rolled Windows 10, Windows 8, Windows XP without any problems, and everywhere I set up a shared folder without any problems. Something is wrong with Windows ME. When you try to access the "All network", a window appears with the error "My network places: The network is not available. Cannot access the network. There are several possible reasons. For more information, see the help.". And that's it... help of course from MS does not really give anything. What are the "several possible reasons" - Cap Evidence is crying at this moment)). Is there anyone with experience sharing this ill-fated folder in WinME or Win98 environment (like a common problem)? Googleandex is silent, because the times of 95/98/ME are already more like a myth, not a story (...
