Windows and Ubuntu conflict?
If I split the SSD into two partitions, put Ubuntu on one and Windows 10 on the other, will there be any conflicts?

If Ubuntu is installed first, and then Windows, then Windows can overwrite the competitor's boot record. At least, earlier Windows did this.
There may be problems when exchanging data between systems. For exchange - you can use a partition formatted in FAT.
Well, it is clear that the systems can only be used in turn, and not simultaneously. For simultaneity - you need to put one of them inside the other in the virtual machine.
If you first install ubuntu, and after Windows, then just restore the bootloader and that's it.
Otherwise, enjoy it in peace
