Windows 8 CP on a netbook

Hello. The next question is very interesting.
It is very interesting to try the system live. Of course, I don’t want to touch the desktop computer at all, but I have an Asus netbook with a screen resolution of 1024x600. Windows 7 works quite well on it.
It is important that many Metro applications in this resolution did not work in the Developer Preview. People used crutches like edits in the value registry for "scale".
Now, when trying to google this, the posts are again related to DP.
Here I was answered with an excerpt from the requirements, but I would like to hear the opinion of those who really tried to put CP on such a resolution.

Try to put it on a virtual machine, and then open its window in fullscreen mode, setting the desired screen resolution. It will be quite safe for the system, and at the same time check how it all works with this resolution.

I bet. All metro apps don't work, but the main metro screen opens.
