Windows 7: dns client problem
Actually we have a netbook with win7 starter. On it, both wired and wireless connections have the following problem:
Hosts do not ping over the domain, they ping over ip. The dns client service is running. I tried to drive the addresses of dns servers into the static connection - it does not help. At the same time, ping cannot resolve the domain, and nslookup quite resolves itself (including using statically clogged servers).
Tried netsh winsock reset/ip reset all, tried clearing dns cache, tried rearranging tcp/ip. Using avz and cure it, I checked the computer for viruses - nothing was found. Rearranged drivers for network adapters, did a system rollback. The proxy is not enabled in the system.
Does anyone have any other ideas? Opens websites by ip.

I solved the same problem
from the same working system, exported hklm\current\services\winsock and winsock2 from the registry
to a broken system, imported it and everything went well.
There is no specific software, I turned off all third-party services (up to Adobe updates). When the laptop came to me with this problem, there were no antiviruses and firewalls installed at all, now I installed mse. Tried several providers wired Internet + vpn, 3g, wifi Everywhere the problem persists.
in general, I made a system recovery from a hidden partition with a wipe of disk C - it all worked. The nature of the problem remains unknown.
Just recently, the same garbage came out.
Disabling the DNS cache (net stop dnscache) helped, plus disabling the automatic start of the "DNS client" service.
