Windows 10 video driver crashes, how to fix?
From time to time (3-4 times a day) the video driver crashes, the monitor turns off and after a couple of seconds it turns on, this happens 3 times in a row, after the third time the font is displayed incorrectly, you can see a separate color on the edges. It helps either restarting or reinstalling the video driver, or setting 60 Hz for the monitor (the default is 144, the monitor supports them), if it fails, it is also reset to 120 Hz and the font is displayed poorly at all screen refresh rates right up to 60, on which is all right. I immediately thought that it was Windows, because it very often installs the best firewood, as it thinks, but I looked and they are the same, not reinstalled by Windows, the operation of the video driver is noted as normal. At the same time, I also did not find any events in system events. What could be and could it be related to what started using display port to connect? Before that I used DVI-D.
System: Windows 10 Enterprise 64bit
Video card: NVIDIA GeForce GT 1070
Monitor: FullHD (1920x1080)
I tried to disable the video driver update through the policy, but it didn’t help, well, apparently because it doesn’t update as I understand it, the problem is something else. If anyone has an idea what could be, or faced the same, please help. I don't want to just switch back to DVI, but apparently the problem, as it is very strange, is in the display port. But then why is it so?
