Will Windows Server 2012 boot, SSD and RAID1?

Good day to all!
I ask for advice on one issue that arose.
I have a computer that functions as a DC that is running Windows Server 2012 R2.
Motherboard: ASUS H97-Pro
uses an SSD as the system drive.
The system itself can be backed up on a separate hard drive using the standard Windows Server Backup utility.
In order to increase fault tolerance, I want to buy another one of the same and make RAID1 out of them.
There are doubts about the successful boot of the OS after installing the controller (or implementing the array using the motherboard) and combining the disk with the system with a clean one into an array.
Will there be problems with the download or not?
if so, which ones can be solved (avoided) with the least dancing?
Thanks in advance!

And where will she go? The only problem is whether there will be firewood. It is possible that you will have to slip firewood.
If you want to be guaranteed without problems and dancing - everything is very simple.
1) Connect a new SSD.
2) Go to the disk manager, and create a mirror of the current system disk to a new disk.
3) Wait for synchronization and that's it.
