Will they go to jail for identifying Kr*mskie IPs as u***inskie's?
Hello.
To determine the location by IP, I use Maxmind and ipgeobase, both define kr * msky IPs as U *** inu.
According to the amendments, which came into force on May 9, 2014, the definition of this peninsula as a territory other than Russia is considered a call for separatism and is subject to criminal liability.
What about IP range databases? Are the owners of sites that identify Kr*mskie IPs as u***inskie brought to justice? Maxmind will not be attracted, they have nothing to do with Russia, but users can.
Have there been similar cases in practice? And what to do in this case, urgently process the records and replace the country if it matches? And are there other services similar in terms of convenience, but taking into account all the features of Russian legislation?
PS Sorry for the asterisks, I just hope that this will reduce the risk that the question will be indexed and accidentally googled by the prosecutor, who wants to prosecute him for even hinting about it. In the comments, too, please "censor" these words.

Free Great Russia)))
Take an example from Habr. He considers Crimea to be Ukrainian territory)))
So why are you guessing - make a request to the prosecutor's office.
This question should have been asked from under TOR + VPN from an account to anonymous mail) then they definitely won’t find it)
The conspiracy theory is still interesting, but you have real paranoia already.
No prosecutors are interested in you, no one will put anyone in prison because of this nonsense.
