There is a vidyukha with 12pin power supply, there is a power supply unit with 8pin power supply. Will the video card work without an additional adapter?

It will work, the only question is how long.

If the block is strongly Chinese, and the wires from it are thin, then it may not be enough.
It also depends on the VRM layout on the card itself. Different connectors can power different phases. Without connecting one of them, it is quite possible to leave the memory without power.
