Will the touchscreen from iphone 3g work with ipod 2?

There is an old second-generation iPod with a cracked touchscreen on hand. I can’t find such an item in stock, or at a price comparable to the same iPod on Avito. However, this model of the player is very reminiscent of the iphone 3g, I looked at the photos - the cable even seems to be the same for them. Can anyone confirm / refute the conjecture about the interchangeability of glasses between this phone and the player?
