Will the second system be able to encrypt the drive?

Question about disk encryption.

At the moment, the main system is linux mint. I want to try to put the next fork of Ubuntu - POP!_OS as the second system. The second system encrypts the entire disk out of the box. Tell me, if the second system completely encrypts the disk, the first one will not fall off?
