Will the PowerEdge VRTX handle the initial load?
Good afternoon, colleagues, I am now faced with the choice of organizing an office on a virtual environment or on laptops (which I would not like).
Actually the task is 30+ users on VDI, up to 100 users on the terminal server (1C), up to 100 connections on the MSSQL database server. There will also be VDA users ....
I am counting on such a configuration (PowerEdge VRTX) which in the future can be expanded to 4 blades at this stage:
2 pcs. - PowerEdge M620 blade, 2670v2 processors (10
cores 2.5 GHz), 256 GB RAM, 2 disks 300 GB 10K, 2
network interfaces 10 Gbps -
1 pc. - Modular chassis, the ability to install up to 4
blades, up to 24 drives 2.5 "Includes 16
drives 300 GB 15k, 8 drives 600 GB 10K, 4 blocks
power supply, switch for 16 internal and 8
external ports 1 Gbit / s
Thin clients - OPTION LITE for 30+ users.
Actually, do you think it will pull? I'd like to hear your recommendations or suggestions...

It will rest against the disks, how to give a drink.
For 100 users in 1s, you would have some fast shelf with two laces from ssd in a fast raid (0, 10) ... And even that is not a fact.
