Will running in "portable" mode harm an SSD?

I want to transfer "portable" programs that I constantly use (Far, Sublime Text, Eclipse CDT, ..) to an external SSD USB3 drive, create a TrueCrypt container and transfer all project files with which I work at work to it.
Eventually:

  • I connect this SSD at work via USB3, run "portable" TrueCrypt, then mount an encrypted container that is on the same SSD and work with it (development in C for microcontrollers and stuff like that. I have to compile a lot of small files, etc. .).
  • at the end of the working day I will unmount the TrueCrypt partition, close all "portable" programs running from this SSD, disconnect the disk itself and go home with it. At home I also work permanently with him on my hobbies, etc. (no longer using encrypted containers)

As a result, I get complete mobility and autonomy.
For all this I plan to use a Samsung T1 500GB SSD
. There are a few questions about the above:
  1. Wouldn't such use hurt the drive in terms of quick failure due to frequent file changes/savings?
  2. Will an acceptable SSD speed be provided (if without TrueCrypt, SSD provides about 350 MB/s, will it be at least 200 MB/s in this mode with TrueCrypt)?
  3. I would like to hear your general thoughts and opinions on this matter.

@reddoc

1. No, he doesn't care at all.
2. You need to test a specific sample of the "pocket" (more precisely, the controller)
3. Everyone decides for himself who is comfortable and who is not, here is the question of markers;)

@mrusklon

everything is fine, but I would also think about the backup system in parallel

@Punkie

Just change TrueCrypt to VeraCrypt =)
