Will menu indexing be affected by not using a list (ul li), but using div blocks?

I always typed up the menu with lists, and did not think about it. And then there was a problem due to the complex design, and you have to do it with the help of div. Will this somehow affect indexing, or something else?

I would like to see at least part of this complex design, which had to use div

You can always add lists to a new class and format them in any way you like.

If the menu is end-to-end - PS will understand that this is a menu. In general, there are such tags as menu or nav under the header if the menu is in the header of the site.

The only catch is that the menu tag was cut out of the HTML4 specification and reappeared in HTML5 but is still not supported by modern browsers. In addition, in the HTML5 specification, its role is completely different than the formation of the navigation menu on the site. In other words, it is more suitable for creating menus in web applications like "Create..., Save..., Save As...", etc. Not for the main navigation menu. more details here www.w3.org/TR/html5-author/the-menu-element.html#t... I would recommend using nav. And there will be lists or ordinary divas inside it, it’s not so important for SEO

another option, if you use the navigation menu in it, plus duplicate it in the footer. then there will be two links to menu items and search engines will understand the "importance" of links in the menu
