Will it be possible to connect Dell storage to an HP sas controller?
Greetings.
There is storage storage system Dell PowerVault MD1200, with 2xDell SAS controller 3DJRJ controllers.
There is an HPE ProLiant ML350p Gen8 8 SFF Tower 652065-B21 server.
To connect the storage system to the server, I want to buy an HP Smart Array P421 / 2GB FBWC 6Gb 2-ports board, and connect this case with two sas cables.
Question:
Will this work in terms of component compatibility between Dell and HP?
And will Intel D3-S4510 960GB 2.5" SATA (SSDSC2KB960G801)
and HGST Ultrastar 7K6000 HUS726040AL5214/0F22815 drives work in a Dell PowerVault MD1200?

Well, you do not have a storage system, but a DAS.
In theory, it should work, but you need to look at the HCL from the storage to see if this controller is supported. If there is an opportunity to try, you should try, because even if the controller is not in the HCL, this does not mean that the link will not work.
As for disks, this is also just a bold experiment. Since ordinary disks do not work in storage systems, storage usually checks disk firmware and rejects disks that are not flashed by the vendor. Since only disks marked by the vendor would work in the storage system. As will be the case with DAS - XZ, only full-scale tests.
