Is Flanagan's book suitable for learning js? 2012 book, old? Is there a fresher only in Russian?

if you are talking about the one that is 1000+ pages, then it will not become outdated soon, but it is better to start learning js with electronic resources like https://learn.javascript.ru/
Flanagan is more like a good reference book.

There is an encyclopedia both fresher and more voluminous, there in Russian, and English, and Chinese. The Internet is called.
Knowing how to use it is a fundamental skill, "a fishing rod, not a fish."
