Will an unmanaged switch work between two managed ones?

Hello!
What happens if you connect an unmanaged switch between two 802.1q switches?
Will vlan/trunk work?

It very much depends on the unmanaged switch, I came across D-Link of the same models, but with different revisions. Vlans passed through one of them, but not through the other. In other words, no one can guarantee anything.

The trunk will work if the unmanaged one supports mtu over 1514

It works for me on one site. I agree that it depends on specific switches, but here https://blog.thelifeofkenneth.com/2014/03/pushing-... the dude checked several different switches, and he was lucky with all of them. I would venture to suggest that the problem was only with very old switches (but this is not accurate).

Plug it in and check it out.
No one here can give you a 100% guarantee on performance (with this connection method).
