Will a video card work with an old motherboard?

I have a gigabyte ga-h61m-s2pv motherboard.
I wanted to take a Gigabyte GeForce GTX 1050 OC [GV-N1050OC-2GD] video card for the upgrade, but it does not have additional power.
Will it work on my motherboard?

As far as I know, if on MP PCI-E 2.0, then video cards with 3.0 without additional. The power will either not work, or will be buggy. But, judging by the specs, your MP 3.0, respectively, will work.
