Will 8+6 pins replace 8+8 pins on a graphics card?

I'm going to buy a Zalman ZM600-GSII 600W power supply, but it has only 8 + 6 pins for the video card, and for the video card itself (gtx 580) you need 8 + 8 pins. Is it possible to run a video card without two additional pins. power, and will it work?

There are also detachable cables. You can find an 8 pin cable.

An additional two pins to the ground are wound up. Theoretically, it is possible without them, if nothing is done beyond the standard on the card itself.
