I consider a 2k (1440p) monitor to be an excellent choice, but I'm still looking at 4k. Interested in games. Write who has something to compare.
Interested because good 2k 144 monitors are now 20% cheaper than 4k 144 monitors, which is quite a bit. It is also known that even 1080ti does not pull 4k on good settings. Actually, does it make sense to take 4k 144, but set the settings to 2k in order not to update the monitor again in the future?

Why 4k for games?
Take 2k or less. The eye almost does not distinguish the difference. And the fewer games, the better. 2k is enough for the rest of my life.
PS Itself has stopped on a choice 12801024 for games. I like high so that web pages scroll less. And I will not change until it fails. And when it breaks, I'll buy the same one.
