Monitor/monitors for macbook?

Available macbook pro 2019 15" and working macbook pro 2019 16".

I don't know how best to arrange a workplace for them.

Now there is an open laptop and a small 21.5 "monitor on the side. It's somehow not very convenient. Most of all, the macbook frustrates when you put it on the edge of the table - the font is too small, and when it zooms in - the text is readable, but somehow on the screen 1. I would like to hear thoughts about super-wide monitors and their compatibility with poppies. In the same place it will not

work to enter fullscreen with 3-4 windows? Only two? Is it convenient?
2. Or is it two monitors? And which ones?
3. Or a laptop stand? (Sustainability recommendations?)

@raiboon

1. Why won't it work? how many you want. or clarify what you mean.
2. two monitors is the best option.
3. you can also stand. but this does not eliminate the need for additional monitor(s). I have such .
Makos fully supports ultra-wide monitors. but personally I prefer the regular ones. if only because one of them can be deployed vertically.
