WiFi repeater: to distribute to a neighbor or not?

Hello,
I rent an apartment in a private house. My neighbor and I have equally average-bad signal to the host's WiFi hotspot. I installed a repeater with a good antenna.
Question. What is more profitable: change the network name (+password) and use it yourself (WiFi devices, LAN on PC), and let the neighbor continue to be content with a low signal; or - leave the same network ID and password and "allow" the neighbor to use the repeater?

I understand that with a worse signal, the neighbor will "influence" all network devices (and mine too). And in this case, it may be more profitable to connect it to my repeater. Right?

Thank you.

@Griboks

If you are not concerned about security (as if a neighbor connected to you via cable directly) and users have modern devices (WiFi works on the worst standard for backward compatibility), then it is better for everyone within a radius of 100 meters to use one seamless network.
