wifi hotspot from laptop

Guys, this is the situation. From my Wi-Fi card on Windows 7 using the Connectify program, I get a good access point, it works correctly and stably. But, on Ubuntu 12.04, it is impossible to make a stable Wi-Fi point. On Ubuntu, I use the hostapd utility to create a Wi-Fi point, as well as iptables rules, for a masquerade. But, I repeat, I cannot achieve stability of work. Since everything works stably on Windows, it's not about the card. It seems to me that the problem is in the Linux driver. Please let me know what could be the issue.
P.S. I have an Atheros AR5007EG Wireless card
