How to properly build a network with a domain controller and a file server?
prompt the correct (optimal) network in which there is a domain controller, a file server, a web server, etc.
for example here , all servers are virtual machines, on a hypervisor.
Now I have windows 2008 server installed, all users in the domain. there is a shared disk for storing user files. There is also Kaspersky Security Center on a virtual machine, I think if you transfer it to a virtual machine in linux, it will also work. There was an idea to install linux (debian), use it as a domain controller, and file storage.

It is problematic to answer the question unambiguously, without knowing the nuances - the amount and types of iron, the specifics of the organization, the qualifications, the number and work processes of the employees responsible for the operation.
There is no universal answer, you can only compare several options according to different criteria and strive for the most optimal one. There are best practices for building networks of different scales, they have long been known and documented - but they provide answers to more abstract questions than you probably would like to hear.
