Widnows at work, macos at home?
I spent my whole life on Windows, now I want to take a poppy. The fact is that at work the PC is on Windows, the type of activity is ordinary office programs, reports, presentations and all that. How convenient will it be to interact on a poppy with files originally created in the ms office format, and vice versa?

I do not experience any problems except for the inconvenience of switching from one interface to another. In terms of software, Macs have everything you need, except for rare exceptions like Visio. It is definitely worth checking the availability of this or that software in the App Store, and also, in principle, on the manufacturers' websites (I don't have most of the software in the App Store as a class).
Apple allows you to install Windows 10 on a macbook (it also makes drivers) as a second system (and MacOS can be used for some programs, and for working with color, and can also be used to update the firmware). Set it up and don't sweat it. You can also buy Thunderbolt 3 -- nvme or SATA 3 -- usb 10 gbit. You can also install linux, although everything is more complicated here.
