Why "You shouldn't talk to yourself on Habré"?

I wanted to write to myself, but I didn't find myself in the mailing list. Can't you just talk to yourself now? But what about a few years before that?
Then, I typed my name in the address field and hit send. People appeared with letters in red and said that "You should not talk to yourself on Habré." How now to test the arrival of the letter?

Go to the doctor ...
And you can test by asking someone to write something ...

@Methos

It's still unclear why you can't talk to readOnly users.

OK, I'm writing here how to get this screen:

1) open Firebug or similar above the email input field on the dialog page with someone; see:

<input type="hidden" value="some-user" name="respondent_login">

2) change some-user to your name; send with the button - we get this message in the corner for 3 seconds.
It’s all clear that it’s more of a bug than a feature to write to yourself, but it worked in the old mail and the admins knew about it for a long time (well, about a year ago).
