Why won't Ubuntu start after installation?

Notebook Asus K53SJ, Ubuntu 14.04, after installation, only a pink background appears, which freezes and nothing happens. I chose the standard installation - erase the disk and install Ubuntu. If you run from an Ubuntu flash drive to check, then it works. Decided to install Ubuntu due to a problem with installing Windows, which I described in these questions:
Why does not Windows 10 start after updating?
Why doesn't Windows setup start with LiveUSB?
I'm already tormented with this laptop, maybe it's some kind of hardware problem?

I suspect a jamb with UEFI boot, make sure Secure Boot is disabled, try disabling UEFI mode altogether and enabling legacy boot (Compatibility Support Module, CSM), and if you really want to use UEFI, then you may need to re-partition the disk, with a GPT partition table .

on a "pink background" press ctrl-alt-f1, log in to the console, smoke /var/log/Xorg.log

Some problems with the video card, perhaps. First, try booting into recovery mode. To do this, press shift several times while loading. The bootloader menu will drop out, where you will need to select recovery mode.

I had a similar problem. UEFI really doesn't like usb installers. I tried to install flash drives from external-hdd and usb, the system constantly crashed at different stages. In the old manner, I recorded it on a disk, installed it, everything works. Try to put from the disk and not from flash drives.
