Why won't the application start in Ubuntu?

I installed the gpick program, it started up once and that's it, I don't want to anymore.
If I launch from dash, it just flickers on the panel and disappears.
If I start in the terminal, then the terminal hangs up.
Here is how it looks in the system monitor

and here is how the process looks in the terminal

└─(14:56:31)──> ps -aux | grep gpick ──(Ср,сен20)─┘
serii 12143 2.3 0.3 608960 29108 ? Sl 14:55 0:07 gpick
serii 12419 0.0 0.0 21316 1028 pts/1 S+ 15:00 0:00 grep --color=auto gpick

Unfortunately, I did not find a solution in Google, what to do in such a situation.
The decision will be a lesson to me for the future.
Thanks in advance.

A quick googling showed that it just doesn't work on Ubuntu 17.10 https://github.com/thezbyg/gpick/issues/141
