Why won't OpenOffice files open on a network drive when connected via WiFi?

For some reason, OpenOffice files (Windows 10) on a network drive do not open when connected via WiFi. Cable is no problem.

It is not said about the OS, I will assume that windows:
Wifi can be defined as "public", and wired as "corporate", hence the restriction of either a firewall or an antivirus.
