Why smartphone loses WiFi?

There is a smartphone, Galaxy Note I.
Recently, strange glitches have begun - Wi-Fi turns off by itself.
Moreover, in the system it is shown as enabled, but when you try to get into its settings, the window hangs. Saves only the transition to flight mode and back - for a while it helps.

Is it possible to solve the problem yourself, or is it a kayuk and only SC / replacement of the motherboard?

Perhaps the latest version of the stock firmware will help, and without root rights. Helped another. If not, then this is the problem of the wifi module, and accordingly carry it to the SC.
