How is freelancing for Android developers?

I would like to know from those who have experience of working as android dev on such exchanges as odesk / elance how things are with orders, income. Thank you for your attention.

To pick up stars, at first I had to make orders not according to my profile - to test something, to make some kind of script. Then it flooded and even got lucky to grab an hourly project.

With the current rate, there are fewer customers. But they pay at the old prices.
