Why MSI GF65 laptop sits in the off state and does not load additional OS?

Recently bought a laptop MSI GF65 Thin 9SEXR and faced some problems :

  1. In the off state, the laptop is discharged to 0% in a few days
  2. After installing an additional disk and Linux on it, it is not possible to boot Windows from GRUB

Solution I found:

  1. We go into the bios. To do this, turn on the laptop and while the splash screen with the MSI logo is on, press delete (you can do it several times).
  2. Next, using the keys ←, → move to the Advanced tab .
  3. Find the item ERP lot 3 support and enable it ( Enabled ). It disables power consumption in off mode (exactly usb ports, probably something else). Yes, you can’t charge your smartphone from a switched off laptop, but do you need it?
  4. Next, move to the Boot tab .
  5. Find Fast Boot and disable it ( Disable ). When enabled, Bios (logo splash screen) will load faster and transfer control to the OS loader (although in my opinion it is almost imperceptible), but it will not load all connected devices (including drives) and the OS installed on another disk may not start .
  6. Press F10 to save settings and reboot.

Hope it helps someone!
Ps Some additional information for the owners of this laptop:
  • When disassembling, after unscrewing the screws, first remove the plastic panel that hides the wires from the screen (otherwise you can break several latches on it). It is fastened on latches between the screen and the rear end (it goes a little on it). You can find it by opening the screen and right below it where the metal of the keyboard block ends and the plastic begins (this is it). It snaps off from the side of the rear end, the gap there is small.
  • There are 2 M.2 2280 slots with NVMe support (the bolt is already screwed in :)
  • There is no SATA, as well as space for hdd.
  • To boot from a flash drive in bios, you need to disable secure boot (if you want to install another OS - for example)
  • 2 slots for RAM. The maximum volume is 64GB, it makes no sense to set frequencies above 2666 MHz because the processor will cut, it is better to look for lower timings (in the database 19/19/19/43).
