Why make a blog with a great menu (removing the main one) or even on a separate subdomain?
Why do some companies (seen with large ones) make the "blog" section as a separate element from the site structure? There, the word /Blog can be added to the logo, the main menu can be different (now only what refers to the blog and no links to the main page of the site, except for some 1st in the footer, for example). Some even have a separate subdomain set up for the blog. Maybe this gives some advantages for SEO or there are some other explanations here
