Why is Ubuntu only 1.5gb?

Good afternoon, tell me why ubuntu is so easy?
I downloaded it on 04/16/02, the installer weighs 1.5GB, for comparison, my seven weighs all 7.
And is it worth installing the standard version or is it better to pull off the add-ons from the tracker?
I saw the same version with the signature game, which is 2GB.

It's okay, the size depends on the number of packages included in the image.
releases.ubuntu.com/16.04
For example, you can download a minimum image of 50Mb, but then you won't be able to install additional packages without an Internet connection.
Why is it different in size from Windows? Because there is nothing in common between these operating systems.
