Why is there no sound through HDMI?

Good afternoon!
I collected it recently , so I
don’t have a monitor yet, I’m sitting through the TV
Connected via HDMI
, the picture goes on, there is no sound
Updated all the drivers, but it’s still not there (in the sound control panel, the TV hangs as “not connected”)
At the same time, before that, when for the first time installed the system, the sound was
Now reinstalled Windows (from x86 to x64)
I've already rummaged through the entire Internet ... Here is my last hope in this outgoing year :)
What can I do to make everything work?

What OS? If win7, then I just recently encountered such a problem. Solution:
Start-> Control Panel-> sound.
Right-click on "Speakers" -> "show disabled devices". Next, the TV model will appear and the volume level will appear in the tray.

Set the default playback device to something else. Those. type "sound" in the start and then click on your TV and click on "default" at the bottom

Another interesting thing: check the resolution that you give out via hdmi (and check its versions on the TV and on the PC).
For some video resolutions, audio transmission is not supported on older versions, then try changing the resolution.
