Why is there no motivation at work, but there is in your own projects?

Changed a lot of jobs. I worked on each for about half a year. Reason:
I'm getting a job, at first everything is interesting while I'm pouring in, but a month or two passes and the work becomes boring. Motivation drops, efficiency drops, depression, from depression, efficiency drops even more, the result is that the boss is kicked out. And so 5 times
I get a new job, I think that I will start from scratch and everything will be fine. But the situation is repeating itself.
I ask myself, is IT exactly mine? I come to understand that problems with motivation are present when I work for a stranger. When I do some projects for myself, I study new technologies - there are no problems with motivation, I can forget about food and sleep. But what I do "for myself" does not reach the start-up.

The author described me exactly. Hi colleague.
The problem is very simple, and at the same time, extremely difficult to solve.
You don't feel useful when you come to work. You are one of a dozen of those who were before you and will be after you. Wangyu, you are digging into someone else's code, adding, signing, and generally doing completely routine activities that really make you want to howl. Frankly, this job is no better than a driver or a warehouse employee. Generally. Only they pay better for it, and it takes many times more nerves.
There is only one way out - to look for a job where you will personally lead the project, maybe create it from scratch or in a small team, where you will feel like the "dad" of this project, how do you feel with your projects.
If you don't find such a job, you will continue to suffer like this. Believe me. I went through all this.

IT is definitely mine?
Perhaps not. You have a passionate personality type. There are people who are easy on the routine and spend decades digging into the code. Start thinking about other options if your age has not yet crossed the line of 35 years, because if you continue to cook in this swamp, squeezing your nerves, everything will be much worse with age - dead nerves, depression, alcoholism, cursing everything and everything.
The problem is that finding such a "dream" job is very difficult, often almost impossible to find it intentionally.
....
But what I do "for myself" does not reach the start-up.
And here you have a strategic error. The time of lone stapers forever sunk into history about 15 years ago. I advise you to stop and not waste energy on this - there will be no sense, you will not achieve monetization. Now everything is done by businesses, investments and teams. Your pathetic attempts to stand alone against some decisions are reminiscent of building a tent of "avn and sticks" with rotten cucumbers near a solid grocery hypermarket.

Well, by the fact that work is needed in order to work) and they have their own pet projects to meet the needs for creativity and self-development. There are very few companies in which you combine both work and satisfaction of your needs. In some cases, you need to work in a project for a year or more to join this domain and start taking the initiative in its development.

To combine - you need to prove your usefulness for business.
