Why is there no message notification sound in Web Skype?

Tired of the constant logging out of Skype, I decided to use portable chrome and the web version - here at least you can save your password. But for some reason in the web version of Skype there is no sound notification of an incoming message. The voice bell rings, but the messages arrive in silence. Notifications are enabled in the settings.
How to be?
A more global question: how to make Skype stop logging out?
