Why is there no MacBook with HDD?

The girl has an ASUS 256GB SSD + 1TB HDD laptop, it is very convenient - OS and software are on the SSD, and heavy files and storage are on the HDD.
At work, they have now issued a MacBook Pro 2018, there is only a 256GB SSD. Okay, I think it's ok to work. For fun, I decided to google models with an additional HDD - but there are none!
What the heck? Why do I need a 1TB SSD (also at an exorbitant price), if there will just be files there, and speed is not required from it? Moreover, SSD wears out relatively quickly. Why don't they install a second HDD?

HDDs have a lot of weight, large dimensions, high power consumption, with the current form factor, you need to reduce the battery by a third to accommodate the HDD, and at the same time, due to increased power consumption, lose even more autonomy.
