Why is there no image on the external monitor when I connect my hp elitebook 1040 g2 through the docking station?

Win10x64 Pro (1809). An hp elitebook 1040 g2 folio is installed on an ultraslim2013 docking station. An LG monitor is connected to it with a dvi-dport cable. There is no image on the monitor. When you select an additional monitor in the display properties, the monitor is displayed correctly, but as inactive. If you connect the same monitor to the same laptop with the same cable without a docking station, the image appears. HP kind of knows about this problem and says everything is fine . But how to display the image from the laptop to the monitor?

Check for driver and firmware updates and update to the latest versions available, and there's also an update from May 2nd HP Ultraslim Docking Station DisplayPort (DP) Hub Firmware Update
