Prompt in what there can be an ambush. On the server (DirectAdmin) there are sites that work on http://, and there are sites that work on https://
Let's Encrypt SSL certificates. When sending mail via smtp.yandex.ru from sites on http://, letters go with a bang.
But when sending from sites to https:// I get a message in the logs. Connection could not be established with host smtp.yandex.ru [ #0]

Is the request coming from the server? If yes, then it does not depend on http, https of your site. Look for the reason elsewhere.
