Why is there a purple screen when I take a screenshot/demo?
When I take a screenshot from a camera capture program, this is what I see instead of my face:
the same garbage when demonstrating on Skype or recording a video, just purple.

win xp? I have not seen this on others.
This is a technique for overlaying video on a static desktop picture. The place under the video is filled with color #100010, and the video goes in a separate overlay. If you block the player or Skype with this screenshot, the video will show through the purple square.
I had an assumption that such a feature of the screenshot is related to copy protection of films, now I believe that the problem arises due to the difficulty of simultaneously capturing different means of displaying images on the screen, GDI and DirectShow
