Why is there a delay in layout switching in Elementary OS 5 Juno?

I'm a completely new Linux user, I installed Elementary OS 5 Juno, I like everything, except for one thing - the layout switches with a delay. This only happens when switching from RU to ENG. Back - all instantly.
Of the solutions, I found only a python script https://github.com/yamnikov-oleg/switch-layout
But, as I understand it, this is far from a panacea + it needs to be autoloaded. The fact that every inclusion I will have a python and a script will be cut - will it greatly affect performance (the PC is very weak)

It's better not to shove any vassyanstvo into autoload.
I don’t remember exactly (well, 100% right here) what is the problem with layouts - either in Ubuntu, or in the design of Elementary. I remember ubuntovodov had brakes with switching, but Pantheon, if I'm not mistaken, is written on the web and can easily slow down.
In short, take it easy. Nobody will fix it.
