Why is the quality of the Internet connection poor when the Wi-Fi signal is high?
I recently bought an Asus RT-N12VP router to replace the old D-Link DIR-615, which has become difficult to get into the hall lately, which is why the Internet quality is unsatisfactory.
The new Router gets out well, the laptop shows 4-5 Wi-Fi signal bars. According to inSSIDer, the signal level is also normal. But the quality of the Internet (when used in another room through the wall) has become even worse, it’s almost impossible to use, it takes a long time to think. Although when you are not far from the router, in the same room, it works fine.
I tried to change the channels in the router settings and the threshold of readiness for transmission with a signal interval, it became a little better, but it's still almost impossible to use.Though put the old DIR-615 back. Please
tell me!

Is there any interference? Many other wifi networks?
Basically, you need to play with the location of the router, with the channels.
Operating Frequency: 2.4GHzWhy didn't you buy RT-AC51U with 5GHz?
1. Make sure that the antenna is perpendicular to the ground. At the top and bottom points, it catches / gives back worse.
2. Place the router closer to the center of the apartment, so the signal will be more or less the same in all rooms.
3. Try to install another router or test your receiver with another router. Empirically, you can determine which side the problem is, yours or the router.
