Why is the picture not displayed on the monitor through an active HDMI to VGA converter?
Good afternoon.
Collected PC. Only an old monitor was available, with one vga output. On the video card (GTX 1650) 2 hdmi and 1 DisplayPort. Looking ahead, I already bought a new monitor with hdmi, everything works, BUT, I still want to figure out why the picture from the old monitor is not displayed through the adapter.
Monitor:
Samsung SyncMaster E1920
There were three pieces of adapters available:
1. With additional power
I took it to connect this monitor to ps4, everything worked fine.
2. Without additional power
3. In the opposite direction)
What is happening?
When connecting 1 and 2 - a black screen, the 3rd one simply writes "no signal".
I would like to use it as a second monitor, or do these converters not always guarantee what they are designed for?
The monitor is working, adapters too, connected to other monitors through these adapters, only one of 3 monitors worked!
Maybe someone faced just such a problem?

A VGA to HDMI converter (pictured) is a device that allows you to connect old video cards to HDMI inputs of monitors and TVs.
Thanks to the presence of an analog-to-digital converter (ADC), it allows you to connect old video cards with an analog signal to modern monitors and TVs.
This device works in one direction and the amplification comes from the HDMI side.
If you want to connect a modern video card to a monitor with a VGA connector, then use a converter that has an HDMI plug, and a VGA socket to which the cable is connected to the monitor.
