Why is the new Plextor M7V SSD very slow on a MacBook?
I bought a 512 GB Plextor M7V instead of 128, upgraded a copy of the existing SSD with the system to it, and the new drive showed itself as if the HDD was working. The system was loading for a long time, and when it finally loaded, everything slowed down very much.
For this model, Plextor has 3 utilities, but (!) as it turned out, only under Windows. There is nothing for a poppy! How to be? How to understand why the drive works this way? Does it make sense to install the system directly on it, and not copy another disk? It's just that another (old) Plextor had the system installed just a few days ago.

Problem solved. Through research, it turned out that if the drive is put not in the place of the main one, but in optibay (instead of SuperDrive), then everything starts working as it should. That is, now the performance meets my expectations. Hope this is useful to someone in the future.
these are apples, they have their own hardware, codecs, drivers, etc., and they are closed. buy only ssd for poppy and you will be happy.
ps: personal opinion apples in the trash!
