Why is the first order on UpWork so important?

Why does everyone say that the first order for UpWork is so important? Like, if you have already taken the first order, then you will now be much more willing to take on other jobs. I completed the first order, and I did not feel any difference in the imaginary demand as a freelancer. Whether you have completed orders before or not does not matter.

yes, in general, it doesn’t matter, I immediately learned to look for orders and that the first one, that the first 10, that the hundredth order was all about the same.
most people are just goofs and can't find the first order in this and all its importance

By and large, the main thing is a cover letter and at least some kind of portfolio.

And just do it strange, I have become noticeably better.

Before the first order, you are a pig in a poke. you don't have any reviews.
As soon as you get the first review, you already become a trusted person and you can do business with. Naturally, if the first review is good. If it is bad, then the pipe.
But you need to understand that even a few good reviews do not guarantee you a stream of customers. It depends more on your niche and your abilities.

On the upwork there is such a parameter as Job Success Score - it marks how successfully you hand over projects. But it is not calculated immediately, but after the delivery of several projects, I don’t remember how many now, maybe just after five, as discussed above.
So, in order to support those freelancers who have not yet taken the Nth number of orders, but are something of themselves, they are given the Rising Talent achievement. It is given for 100% completion of the profile, passing the (easiest) Upwork Readiness Test according to the rules of work on the site and, in fact, for having at least one completed order that completely satisfied the client (i.e. they left positive feedback).
The presence of such a tag not only psychologically increases the customer’s confidence in you, but it’s also commonplace in the search results on request that you will be higher than those who do not have such a tag.
